How do I set my eSIM for mobile data?

Select Mobile Data Line
Go to Settings → Mobile Service → Mobile Data:
• Choose your travel eSIM — the line you named when installing (e.g. eSimExpress Travel).
• Ensure Allow Mobile Data Switching is turned OFF. If left ON, iOS may silently switch back to your home SIM when foreign reception fluctuates, causing costly domestic carrier roaming charges.

Enable roaming on the travel eSIM
Under SIMs (or Cellular Plans), tap your travel eSIM:
• Turn Turn On This Line → ON
• Turn Data Roaming → ON

Verify primary / home SIM settings
Tap your Home / Primary SIM line under the same menu:
• Leave Turn On This Line → ON (so you continue receiving banking 2FA SMS)
• Ensure Data Roaming → OFF
Important: Keep mobile data on your eSIM only
If your phone switches to your regular SIM for data abroad, your carrier may charge roaming fees.
