Can I keep my WhatsApp number?
Yes! You keep 100% of your WhatsApp chats and number.
Your WhatsApp account, phone contacts, group conversations, and chat histories will remain completely unchanged when using eSimExpress.
What if WhatsApp prompts: “Update to New Number?”
Occasionally, after swapping SIM configurations or rebooting overseas, WhatsApp may display a popup asking:
“SIM card change detected. Would you like to update your phone number?”
* Do NOT enter a new number. Tapping “Keep” ensures your friends can message you seamlessly without any interruption.
What about Telegram, Signal, WeChat & LINE?
The exact same rule applies to all IP-based messaging and calling apps: Telegram, Signal, WeChat, LINE, Facebook Messenger, Instagram, Discord, and Snapchat. All of these services run entirely over data and remain linked to your existing accounts.
One thing to note: some countries restrict or block certain apps (e.g. Telegram), so check local policies before you travel.
